Engineering, R&D and Test Center Support Services

We provide the same full suite technical support services at our clients’ test and engineering facilities as we do at the proving grounds. Typically these programs involve closer team integration, with client project engineers providing greater real time technical direction – a necessity due to the earlier stage in the product development cycle. Structured as a managed service and continuing to take advantage of our comprehensive HR, safety and training expertise, these programs provide the convenience and flexibility needed by engineering project managers.

THE ACADEMY - TPG's CDL Training

TPG is an FMCSA approved Entry Level Driver Training (ELDT) provider. We support your driver training program by fully qualifying new drivers before operating any vehicle in your fleet. The new ELDT regulations have reshaped how companies approach CDL training, creating standardized requirements. We also design and conduct – at your location or at ours – fully customized CDL training programs for heavy vehicle OEM’s and fleet operators centered on your specific needs and objectives. TPG’s comprehensive training solutions, including P endorsement training, allow you to maintain the stringent quality and safety standards you set for your company while maintaining operational flexibility and efficiency.

THE ACADEMY - TPG's Advanced Driver Training

Our Advanced Driver Training Programs offer a suite of courses for professional drivers and for company employees with vehicle design, manufacture, research and development roles. Proving grounds’ and vehicle test facilities’ standards of proficiency require certified competence levels in order to operate and safely validate all aspects of a vehicle’s life cycle performance. Comprehensive training for CDL drivers maintains state of the art knowledge of heavy vehicle operating skills, environment and regulations. With our focus on both the human element and the vehicle’s dynamics, participants acquire not simply the techniques to drive safely at an advanced level but also gain a clear understanding of how the physical characteristics of the vehicle (both static and dynamic) affect driver performance.

SAE J3300 Certification

In partnership with Eaton Corp’s Marshal Michigan proving ground, Technical Professionals Group and Eaton are proud to be the first in achieving Site and Examiner certification for the SAE J3300 driving skills standard. The SAE’s standard creates a common and industry-wide recognized credentialing process allowing authorized sites and examiners to certify professional drivers in various levels of driving skills. The standard was developed to provide consistency among and between the industry’s multiple proving grounds and other testing facilities, each of whom had developed their own requirements which had to be met individually before allowing drivers access to their respective sites
